The conference will take place at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel where the conference area is purpose built for conferences combining exhibition and scientific programs. This 4-star hotel from 1983 was totally renovated and re-opens its doors in May 2012. Brand new lobby, restaurant, bar in a modern, yet very Norwegian and Bergen ambience.
Designed in the distinct Bryggen style, the rooms include all the amenities expected of a four-star hotel. Augustin Hotel is situated 10min walk from the ISAE 2023 conference venue hotel and is Bergen’s oldest family-run hotel with a fine combination of modern, prize-winning interiors and traditional style. Location: Centrally situated in the shopping and harbor area. Some rooms have a view of the harbor.

Bergen Børs Hotel is situated 6min walk from the ISAE 2023 conference venue hotel, right in the heart of the city. The old stock exchange is now an exquisite hotel with a delicate classic / modern style.
New, ambitious hotels pop up all the time, in both Norway and the rest of the world. They often try to outdo each other with descriptions like “luxurious” or “central”. Bergen Børs lives up to both – although the management prefers not to use the term “luxury”, but instead elegance, dignity, and discretion. There is a reason for this. It is embedded in the walls.
Bergen Børs is in the heart of the city, and this is not an exaggeration. Guests in rooms facing north-east will see the Fish Market and Bryggen – the latter with roots back to medieval times when Hanseatic ships filled the harbor (and there was no stock exchange in Bergen). To the east are Torgalmenningen with the Seafarers’ monument, and to the north-west is a statue of the famous local author, Ludvig Holberg, born 1684 (the same year as Bergen’s very first exchange opened).
Old Bergen stock exchange, designed by architect F.W. Schiertz, opened in 1862, and was rebuilt in neo-Renaissance style during the period 1890–93. Behind the current conversion to a hotel with delicate proportions and in a classical/modern style, are the architects Claesson Koivisto Rune who have cited “eccentricity” and “magic” as an important part of the rationale behind the process.
